The Moulin de Lourmarin stands in the centre of one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. A little stream, “Le Rayé”, which once drove the millstones in this traditional oil mill, still runs past the chateau and close to the Protestant church. Take a short walk through the narrow streets of Lourmarin and look carefully at the doors and shutters, the noses on the steps around the many fountains and the corbels carved from Espeil stone. Whilst you are here, be sure to stop at Sénanque Abbey or visit the international festival in Roque d’Anthéron.
